New blogskin. Spent the afternoon changing it. Used the previous one for a long long time. Also spent the whole afternoon looking at online clothing shopping sites. If only I have the money. So many things I want to buy. One can only browse thru the pages.
Okk, back to lectopia before I get even more distracted.
Enjoyed this last lec of B2B on mon by the guest speaker/lecturer. First time I rem so much after the lec, lol. He is very interesting, more interesting than our lecturer I must say. He asked all of us to say one word which is most important in a relationship. We all gave answers like trust, communication, sincerity, compromise, give and take, etc. This is what was said/discussed:
The 2 most important thing in a relationship are frequency and proximity. In any sort of relationship, be it between family members, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends, business, etc. It is the number of times we meet each other to talk or have any sort of contact eg sms, phone calls, instant messaging, email, face to face. We need the contact to maintain the relationship. If the contact is suddenly broken, the relationship is different. Guest speaker also gave example of how mum knows the best. Mums will complain when we dont call back home enough. They'll call us instead. Mum knows we need the contact and not let this relationship be broken. This contact is also when we build up trust with each other. The more we meet up, the more we understand each other. In a business context, it'll be easier for ppl to work together with that trust.
How true is this? Think he summed it up very well. Gave such practical examples too, esp the one abt not calling home enough. Hmm, so guilty of that.
Same lecturer also took one of our other subj. He said we sound more intelligent when quoting other ppl, coz when ppl read what we've written they will be wondering if we can really think of those ideas ourselves. So its better to quote as they will think "wow, you know and have connection with a lot of smart ppl." lol. Its quite amusing. --- 2 yrs of lecs all over. Yay? Maybe. I'll definitely miss sitting in lec hall day dreaming and counting down to breaks and end of class.
Hmm, we know it is procrastination time when there are more updates =)
Day of mess on sat. Opened my eyes on sat just before 8.30. Extremely rare for me to wake up so early, esp on a sat. Bro came into my rm and told me the corridor downstairs was flooded. I was like "wow" and drifted back to slp, lol. Apparently our water heater had a hole in it and water leaked. Carpet was soaked within 10 mins. Carpet guy and plumber was called in. We had no hot water since sat. Had the choice of going over to Jamie's place to take our shower, but we chose to do it at home using the old sch way - boiling water and using pails. Nostalgic isnt it, lol. Great fun. Eww...the whole hse feels so dirty and messy.
All the things thrown out from the store. Had to get everything out coz the store is just beside the water heater and carpet was flooded. What a mess!!
Carpet guy left 2 noisy fans to dry the very wet carpet. ---- Last wk of uni...again. Exams soon. How exciting! Looking fwd to end of exams and going home for a while. Another 2 yrs of student life gone in a flash. Got to think abt whats going to happen next. Argh, hate that part. Why cant everything be planned out nicely in front of us?? Life would be much easier and simpler. And ppl will become lazier and stupider too. I dont want exams, I want to go home.
My life is an open book.
Loves God, family n friends.
I thank God for his grace shown to me all these years, placing great friends in my life =)
