been going out quite a lot. met up with huixian, joan and duan ni yest. of coz we must end our day with photo taking. we even took photos at the back of the bus, haha.
anyway finally got a chance to meet jess this afternoon. miss hanging out with her, sigh..got a chance to take a look at her room. it was really well done. it is so cool that she got a room all to herself, but then at the same time i think it is very scary, coz all responsibilities will be on her. well done jess!! hopefully can meet u one more time before i go back to melb.
going back to yong peng tml with mum and bro. we will be taking the bus to msia coz dad not coming along. he is too busy. first time taking a bus all the way to yong peng. will be there till sun.
Xu Wei Lun passed away in a car accident. what a shocking news. i thought she might be suffering from some injuries, but never did i expect death. life....anyway i read that she was reading "Death Note" ad at the point of the accident. she's only 28. sigh, life....
the turn up for our 1K gathering on fri was not bad, 10 of us actually made it. as i predicted, the pigs were the only girls who came. haven seen most of the guys since we graduate from sec sch. well, seen the girls recently. talked abt things which happened in sec 1, like how our science teacher would always read our test marks out, starting from the lowest. and also how our class used to be the most notorious class in sec 1. if they didnt mention, i almost forgot how we made our teachers cry. the feeling was as if we were back in sec 1 again. hard to imagine we are old now...at first ppl were like shy and everything, but towards the end, everybody opened up when we started taking photos. we had dinner at Din Tai Fung and dessert at NYDC. we were there till quite late. hard to catch a cab from orchard area. hot. tired.
--- went hilton hotel for the pre-departure briefing with my bro. such a waste of time, heh. for me lah, of coz. i cant' even rem what's my own pre-departure briefing about. it was so boring that i finished a story book there. luckily there were some familiar faces there to keep me company. after that went home and we had sort of a family gathering at some bistro. it's the ppl from mum's side. although we are all related to each other in a way or another, but the relationships are too complicated, really too difficult to understand. actually the relationship is not bad, it's the "bei4 fen4" thing that's complicated. it's like my mum's cousins (which is her generation) is arnd our age (maybe a little older). the dinner was very awkward, coz too many unfamiliar ppl. "bu shou bu shou bu shou" all the way!!! hahaha...
watched The Illusionist at Lido yest. wasnt too keen on watching it initially. while watching also regretted a little, coz the speed of the movie was as fast as korean dramas. well, it was a gd movie. worthed the $7.50. but i think i like The Prestige better, prob because of more known actors. i like the locket in the movie though. it is very cool. with a few turnings here and there, it becomes a photo locket. The Illusionist is the "smart" kind of movie. i was impressed at the ending.
anyway haven been doing much these few days. watching taiwanese dramas and re-watching TVBs. having a 1K class gathering ltr in the evening. wonder who will turn up. prob most of the pigs only, haha..
took my ILETS this morning. looked at the online ILETS practice questions only at 10pm yest. was very nervous when i cant ans those qns. but the actual thing wasnt as bad as i thought. there are 3 sections in ILETS, Listening, Reading and Writing. the Listening part is actually very simple, but hv to listen very carefully, if not will miss the what they are saying. the Reading part is reading 4 or 5 long passages and answering multiple choice questions or writing true/false or writing 3 words answers. this part very tricky, all the ans almost similar, had such a headache. i found the last section is the hardest. had to write a 150 words letter and 250 words argumentative essay. only had 60 mins. so panicky. anyway something very irritating happened during my test. there was this china woman sitting in front of me. think she is abt 30+. before the test, she was chatting to me. i thought she was just making small talk with me so i chatted with her for a while. she kept stressing that i will have no prob in the test, but she will. can never guess what she was wanted from me. she was asking me to help her, especially for the Listening part!!! i destest this type of ppl!! i thought it's ok if i didnt ans her. little did i know she actually had the cheek to turn my paper over when we were writing down our answers in the answer booklet (we were given 10 mins to transfer answers from qn booklet to ans booklet). i cant even get it back. i was so worried the invigilator would see. i thought the worse was over. during the Reading part, while i was checking my work, she turned around to openly to look at my ans sheet. she did it not once, but a few times ok!!! luckily there was one time the invigilator saw her detestable act and warned her. also luckily i was not involved. how i hate this ppl!! what is the pt of taking ILETS which is testing the standard of our english if you want to cheat??? irritating irritating irritating, spolit my day. well, gd thing is that i dont need to see her anymore. still got 1 last part of the test to go. taking the Speaking part on Mon.
another 2 wks or so before i leave comfort zone again. actually i am not sure if it is 2 wks or not coz i dont want to look forward to it. home is really the place where i dont have to worry abt anything. parents to tk care of us even if the sky falls down on us. okok sky falling is just an analogy, but that's my way of saying we have nothing to worry.
joined huixian for 1 maths lect in NIE yest. it took me so long to reach there. you must be thinking how long can i take, spore is only this big. ok i took only 1 1/2 hrs from my bus stop to NIE, not so long compared to ppl like lee-ean who travels from knox to city at least 5 times a wk, which takes like 2 hrs?? back to lect. i actually listened to the lecturer!! she was quite interesting. lect in spore is not much different to the ones in melb. hmm..maybe only differences are there were a lot more ppl attending the lects as compared to ours and also students are all asians. our maths lects ony had maybe 20 ppl who will attend, haha...after the 1-hr lect, huixian brought me arnd, we had lunch at NIE canteen then went to the lib and over to NTU. NTU is huge, can easily get lost there. actually melb uni is nothing compared to NTU or NUS. melb uni campus is small. for a moment in NTU, i felt as if i was a student there. well, must be the atmosphere. envy those ppl still studying. speaking of NTU, happen to bump into yujie and kenvin. both i haven seen for really long. yujie is since sec 4 and kenvin is since pri 6!! anyway we went to bugis for a walk and met up with xiaolin. talking abt sec sch days stuff is fun, haha. thinking of going back to chung cheng one of these days.
blogger is so weird, cant edit posts, so previous post might be incoherent. well not my fault.
anyway, HAPPY 21ST BENNY!! may all ur wishes come true in this new yr of ur life!!
and also a big big thankyou for all your birthday wishes and all those who celebrated my 22nd birthday with me, thanks thanks thanks =D
yanyanyan came to Sg. met up with her, serene, ken and lydia yest at bugis. had the famous (i didnt even know it existed, heh) bean curd somewhere there.
hey wanli, i received ur present in the mail today!! i like the pouch, it's nice, thanks =) !!
i been losing my posts. had another bdae celebration. this time with the pig family. we had vegetarian steamboat buffet. it was gd, but on the pricey side, so sorry pigs, for causing your wallets to have big holes. i had a great time when them. it did not feel as though we had left sch for 6 yrs. we were still acting like 13 yr olds, giggling and disturbing each other. if the ppl in the restaurant knew our ages, i think they will faint. speaking abt the ppl in the restaurant, it was either they enjoyed serving us or they did not. but i think they were, haha. the table was filled with all sort of food. seriously full with food. anyway i had a mango pudding in place of the conventional cake. the pigs sang birthday song for me. the restaurant even played the song for me, so embarassing, but i felt so loved by the pig family. we took turns to tk pics while the candle was still burning. think we took like 10 mins. the waiter even made a comment: "hai bu yao cui ah, deng dao xin nian cai cui ah?" (direct translation: "still dont want to blow, waiting till new yr then blow?") i thought it was hilarious, but pity i didnt hear it at that time, wanli told me after. we stayed in the restaurant eating, chatting, laughing until they had to chase us off. last customers in there. we continued our photo taking at the mrt station. i had a great time with the pigs, thanks huixian, yingyuan, huimin, wanli, joan!!!
typed twice, but both times post disppeared. as i was saying, i want to say a big thankyou to peishan for organising an early bdae dinner for me at Din Tai Fung yest. thanks to all those who took time off to celebrate with me. thanks to peishan, shake, serene, madelin, geraldine, joceline, kimberly, jon, ken, li en and chris (opps, hope i didnt miss out anyone). had a gd dinner. the xiao long baos were fantastic. we were following the instructions, which were on the wrapping of the chopsticks, on how to eat the xiao long baos. interesting. oh, peishan made a cake for me, though she kept saying she only mixed the eggs. and mr kenchin concocted a wonderful "tea" for my toast. i was still thinking how can these youngsters be so old-fashioned. well, i shld had known their pranks. luckily i only had a sip of the tea added with vinegar. i had a gd time. thankyou ppl!! (oh yah can i have the pics..)
as i m typing this, shake is on her 10-hr bus ride back to msia. haha, 10-hours!!! anyway met up with her, peishan and jon for lunch at tiong bahru. wanted to watch movie after jon went back to work, but nothing caught our (or rather mine) eyes, so just walked arnd getting stuff and sat down to talk at the coffeeshop. interesting talk. gd meeting up with shake, next wk is yanyanyan, haha, fun. hope u had a gd ride shake!!
somehow i lost the feel of blogging, as in i dunnoe how to express myself anymore. maybe i am having too much excitment here at home and no time for myself to be alone to ponder over things. maybe maybe maybe...gd night.
